Donald Trump goes berserk after facing blowback for going berserk
Donald Trump started the day by dishonestly attacking the media, and after that ended up going rather terribly wrong for him, he ended the day by dishonestly attacking the media for having accurately reported what he said about the media.
This morning Trump posted this berserk rant, aimed at deflecting the blame he’s been rightfully taking for this week’s violent hate crimes in America: “There is great anger in our Country caused in part by inaccurate, and even fraudulent, reporting of the news. The Fake News Media, the true Enemy of the People, must stop the open & obvious hostility & report the news accurately & fairly. That will do much to put out the flame.” The trouble for Trump, of course, is that no one outside his dumpster fire of a base is buying it.
Donald Trump spent the day taking heat for continuing to paint the media as the “enemy” even after one of his own biggest supporters tried to blow up the CNN building last week. During her press conference today, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was unable to answer the questions she received about Trump’s deranged attacks.
Sure enough, this evening, Trump made it worse by posting this idiotic tweet: “CNN and others in the Fake News Business keep purposely and inaccurately reporting that I said the “Media is the Enemy of the People.” Wrong! I said that the “Fake News (Media) is the Enemy of the People,” a very big difference. When you give out false information – not good!”
That’s right, Donald Trump is now trying to parse things by only accusing media outlets that report negative things about him as being the “enemy of the people.” He appears to be fine with the propaganda outlets that falsely report positive things about him even when he screws up. Trump is more psychotically out of control than ever. The midterm elections are just eight days away, and if it goes well for the Democrats, it’ll put Trump on a path to prison.
