Donald Trump goes utterly berserk as everything falls apart for him

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Yesterday represented one of the ugliest and most scandal plagued days in the brief history of Donald Trump’s historically ugly and scandal plagued illegitimate presidency. Not shockingly, instead of trying to put out some of the fires or find something to build on, Trump simply went delusionally berserk about the whole thing.

We learned yesterday that the Trump campaign’s criminal ties to the Russian government were so blatant, the FBI twice sent someone undercover to meet with campaign representatives in an effort to get to the bottom of it. So how is Donald Trump responding to this in his latest Twitter meltdown? Incredibly, by playing the innocent victim: “Wow, word seems to be coming out that the Obama FBI [SPIED ON THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN WITH AN EMBEDDED INFORMANT.’ Andrew McCarthy says, ‘There’s probably no doubt that they had at least one confidential informant in the campaign.’ If so, this is bigger than Watergate!”

So in Trump’s deranged mind, it doesn’t matter that he and his campaign were committing treason. The “real” crime here is that federal law enforcement dared to try to investigate his treason. Nevermind that at this point half of Trump’s closest associates have been indicted or arrested, or are about to be, or are cutting plea deals against him. In his mind none of that counts: “Congratulations America, we are now into the second year of the greatest Witch Hunt in American History.” It gets worse.

Donald Trump has no positive or popular accomplishments of any kind, so even if he weren’t the most criminal president in United States history, he’d still be the most failed president. Yet instead of trying to come up with some actual accomplishments, Trump is content to merely invent them in his head: “Despite the disgusting, illegal and unwarranted Witch Hunt, we have had the most successful first 17 month Administration in U.S. history – by far! Sorry to the Fake News Media and “Haters,” but that’s the way it is!” This right here is why Trump is going down. He thinks he can turn this around simply by pretending he already has.
