Here’s proof that Bernie Sanders’ top campaign advisers are behind the divisive hit squad attacks on other candidates

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Over the past week we’ve seen a number of top Bernie Sanders campaign advisers, Bernie Sanders surrogates, and prominent Bernie Sanders supporters launch increasingly disgusting attacks on anyone and everyone who doesn’t fully support Bernie. This morning Mike Bloomberg put his foot down by posting a new ad which highlighted some of the most disgusting attacks from Bernie’s supporters. Now Bloomberg is taking things further by publishing proof that many of these attacks are coming directly from the Bernie campaign.

Whether Mike Bloomberg is your favorite candidate or not (we have him ranked fifth-best among the Democratic candidates), he’s bringing the receipts. His campaign posted a press release this evening which identified top Bernie Sanders campaign advisers by name who have been essentially trolling the Democratic primary field:

Some Bernie Sanders supporters have insisted that Russian bots or Trump supporters in disguise are merely impersonating Bernie fans while carrying out the worst of the divisive trolling that we’ve seen play out this month. But these quotes make clear that Bernie’s own top campaign advisers are leading the charge on these matters. So there’s every reason to believe that when self-identified Bernie supporters do vicious things like harassing Parkland father Fred Guttenberg, they really are Bernie fans, and not GOP operatives in disguise. After all, these divisive antics are coming directly from the top of Bernie’s campaign.

If Bernie Sanders can’t or won’t get control of his own hit squad of top campaign advisers – let alone get control of his most rabid supporters – the negative publicity is going to take down his campaign. We’ve already seen numerous instances across social media of Bernie supporters giving up on him because of these antics. And as the Democratic field narrows going forward, supporters of candidates who drop out are going to shift to anyone but Bernie, because of how ugly his antics have become. Bernie has a short window to get control of his train wreck of a campaign before it crashes.
