This is the part where Bernie Sanders gets destroyed
If Bernie Sanders were smart, he’d be dropping out of the race right now, negotiating an endorsement with Joe Biden, and using his current leverage to get Biden to adopt a few key portions of his platform. Unfortunately, Sanders keeps reminding us how smart he isn’t, and so he’s announced today that he’s remaining in the race.
Here’s the part where Bernie Sanders gets destroyed. Not by me, though the guy has more skeletons in his closet than a mortician. No, Bernie is about to get destroyed by voters. These past two Tuesdays, where he got his butt kicked all around? These were the easy states for him. Six days from now, he’s walking into a buzzsaw.
This upcoming Tuesday, the polls say Bernie Sanders will lose Florida by thirty-something points, and he’ll lose Arizona and Illinois by twenty-something points. We keep seeing that the only time the polls have been wrong in this primary race is when they’ve underestimated just how popular Joe Biden is.
So no, there won’t be some miracle comeback for Bernie Sanders next week. He won’t even be able to play next Tuesday to a draw and limp forward. He’s about to get completely destroyed by voters. He’ll soon have so little leverage left, he won’t be able to get nearly as much from Biden in exchange for an endorsement. But egomaniacal dummies like Sanders never do learn, do they?
