Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders should be ashamed of themselves over this stunt
Donald Trump has decided this week that it’s really important for us all to pay attention to the fact that Joe Biden sometimes misspeaks in weird ways. Surrogates for the Bernie Sanders campaign are now suddenly pushing the exact same narrative. Funny how convenient the timing is here.
They’re all trying to imply that there’s something wrong with Joe Biden’s physical, mental, or cognitive fitness. That’s ironic considering Donald Trump was mysteriously taken to the hospital a few months ago, and that he’s come across like a zombie in his public appearances since that time. It’s also ironic considering Bernie Sanders recently had a heart attack.
Throw in the fact that Trump’s White House went out of its way to make up nonsensical excuses in the name of covering up Trump’s actual medical emergency, and the fact that Sanders’ campaign is refusing to release his medical records and is asking us to merely take the word of his doctor that he’s magically fine, and the whole thing gets even more delicious.
When people of this age – or any age – are running for President of the United States, the public has a right to know what’s going on with their health. But Joe Biden is clearly in the best health of the three by far, and Biden has been the most transparent about his health thus far. No wonder the Trump and Sanders camps are trying to spin it the other way.
