Barack Obama gives a speech and reminds us what a real President sounds like

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

President Barack Obama is giving a speech right now, airing on multiple cable news networks, and live streaming on the obama.org website. He’s just a few minutes into it, and he hasn’t even reached the town hall Q&A portion of the event yet. But Obama is already reminding is of what a real President sounds like.

President Obama is thoughtfully speaking about the murder of George Floyd, the institutional racism involved, and the ways in which police conduct is overseen. He’s also thanking the police who have marched alongside the protesters. Obama is also addressing the importance of protesting and voting in order to create real change.
