AVALANCHE!
Donald Trump’s criminal trial starts just hours from now. He’s facing thirty-four felony charges and a potential prison sentence, so you’d think that would be bad enough on its own. But as it turns out, it’s just the start of an avalanche landing squarely on Trump’s head.
Even as the first stages of Donald Trump’s New York criminal trial play out this week, he’s facing another onslaught next week. He’ll face a hearing in New York over the validity of the bond he posted in his civil fraud trial. If this goes poorly for him, the bond could be rejected, and Trump’s properties could be seized. But there’s still more coming after that.
Also next week the U.S. Supreme Court will hold a hearing on Trump’s imaginary “presidential immunity” claim. If this hearing goes as expected, it’ll clear the way for Trump’s first federal criminal trial.
Yes, this is all happening in the next two weeks. Donald Trump’s life now consists of little more than one court proceeding after another – no matter how much he wants to masquerade as some kind of political candidate.
