Asleep at the wheel

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

In the hours before the first 2024 presidential debate, the Biden campaign posted video footage of Trump arriving at the debate, looking tired and haggard while getting off the plane. The Biden campaign was clearly harping on the fact that Trump is out of gas. Then I looked over at Trump’s Truth Social page, and his handlers had posted the same video footage of him getting off his plane looking tired and haggard.

There’s something off here – and I’m not just talking about how Trump increasingly comes off as a dementia patient with one foot in the grave. I’m talking about how Trump’s entire operation is asleep at the wheel. What campaign posts a video of its candidate looking so awful that the opposing campaign ends up posting the same video?

It’s obvious by now that Trump, who thinks Biden is Obama and thinks Pelosi is Haley, and spends much of his time talking about sharks and batteries, is playing no strategic role in his own campaign. Trump doesn’t even know where he’s at anymore. But you’d think the people running his 2024 campaign in his cognitive absence would have some sense of what they’re doing, or what not to do.

Nope. Trump’s own people are now posting video footage of Trump looking like he’s lumbering around half deceased, because there’s no one in that campaign who has any idea what they’re doing. Trump always hired the worst people, even back when he could still remember who people were. These days his campaign is every bit as braindead as he is.
