Donald Trump Jr freaks out when he’s asked about Trump Tower meeting

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Last night Palmer Report pointed out that Donald Trump Jr’s initial response to being sold out by his father was to simply continue retweeting random conspiracy theory nonsense, instead of addressing the matter one way or the other. We urged readers to closely watch his next move, because something seemed off. Sure enough, Junior called into the Laura Ingraham show today, and his behavior was nothing short of bizarre.

Ingraham is close ally of the Trump regime, and this should have been a softball interview for Donald Trump Jr. At one point in the conversation she asked him to respond to the latest revelations about his Trump Tower meeting. This was an opportunity for him to spin it in any way he wanted, and she would have gone along with it. Instead, Junior suddenly acted like he couldn’t hear Ingraham, and then his phone line went dead. No, really.

Unless you believe that Trump Jr’s cellphone just happened to drop off at the exact moment he was being asked about the Trump Tower meeting, which would be a completely unrealistic coincidence, he faked this. While she was asking the question, he said “Hello?” and then there was some weird static and then he was gone. This is like something that a character on a sitcom would do.

Laura Ingraham is just about the friendliest interviewer he’s going to find. Why did Donald Trump Jr bother calling in for her show, if he wasn’t prepared to answer the one question that he knew he was going to get asked? He did call back later and discuss the meeting, but by then the damage was done. This was his narrow window of opportunity to try to take control of the Trump Tower meeting narrative, and instead the story is now that he panicked and hung up the phone.
