The real reason Stormy Daniels was just arrested
Stormy Daniels was arrested tonight in relation to her performance at a strip club, according to her attorney Micheal Avenatti. Daniels has been doing this kind of work for years without incident, yet now that she’s taken on illegitimate president Donald Trump, suddenly she’s being arrested for it. If something about this sounds fishy to you, you’re not alone.
For reference, here’s the announcement posted tonight by Michael Avenatti: “Just received word that my client @StormyDaniels was arrested in Columbus Ohio whole performing the same act she has performed across the nation at nearly a hundred strip clubs. This was a setup & politically motivated. It reeks of desperation. We will fight all bogus charges. She was arrested for allegedly allowing a customer to touch her while on stage in a non sexual manner! Are you kidding me? They are devoting law enforcement resources to sting operations for this? There has to be higher priorities!!!” He then accused the whole thing of being a “setup.”
He’s right, of course. Daniels has been doing her act all around the country for several years. She surely knows what would or wouldn’t reasonably get her arrested in any given state or locale. Whatever she was allowing to go on during her act in Columbus, she must have allowed the same thing to go on back when she performed in that city before she became a political figure. In other words, the authorities specifically targeted her in retaliation for the fact that she’s taken on Trump.
There is no evidence that Donald Trump or his administration were involved in this. Michael Avenatti isn’t suggesting as much, and neither are we. But it’s not difficult to figure out that pro-Trump elements within law enforcement went rogue in order to punish Stormy Daniels because she dared to expose Trump’s crimes. Considering the tenacity she’d displayed against Trump thus far, we very much doubt this will intimidate her.
