Donald Trump’s business partner arrested

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

It’s quite telling that when the news breaks that one of Donald Trump’s associates has been arrested, the most common response is, again? Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort are in prison. Michael Flynn, Roger Stone, and Rick Gates appear headed there. Now we can add another name to the list.

You may not have heard of Dinesh Chawla, but he partnered with the Trump Organization in 2017 to bring a number of new hotels to Mississippi. Not surprisingly, none of those hotels ended up being built, because Donald Trump’s entire real estate empire consists of various forms of smoke and mirrors. Now Chawla has been arrested, for a fittingly bizarre reason.

The Clarion Ledger, a local newspaper in Jackson, Mississippi, is reporting that Chawla has been arrested for stealing luggage at the Memphis airport. No, really. This isn’t just some mistaken luggage tag story gone awry, either, as Chawla stole several suitcases containing thousands of dollars worth of goods. Moreover, the newspaper says that Chawla has confessed.

We suppose people steal luggage all the time. But rarely are they recent business partners with the President of the United States. And if you’re thinking that maybe Donald Trump didn’t know his real estate partner was a bad seed, consider just how many of Trump’s other associates have also been arrested and/or convicted of various crimes.
