Arizona GOP allegedly caught on tape trying to pay Kari Lake to drop out of 2024 Senate race

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Kari Lake is a punchline of a candidate, but that isn’t stopping her from continuing to run for office. And why not? Running and losing is a big business these days. Lake has spent years cashing in by falsely claiming she won the last election she lost.

Now Lake is looking to run for Senate in Arizona in 2024, and if she gets the nomination, it would be a good way for her Republican Party to lose the race. Now the Daily Mail (take that for what it’s worth) has published a recording of the Arizona GOP Chair allegedly offering to pay Lake to drop out:

.
There are some caveats here. The Daily Mail is a tabloid. Recordings can theoretically be faked. And since this recording would have had to have been made and supplied to the media by Kari Lake herself, you have to ask if this might just be yet another one of her dishonest stunts.

But if this does turn out to be real… hoo boy. It would mean that the Arizona GOP really does think Kari Lake is such a non-viable candidate, they feel compelled to get her out of the race by any means necessary. Then there would be the questions of legality, which would be a whole other story.
