Another ugly blow tonight for Donald Trump
Donald Trump has serious problems. Life ruining problems in fact. He’s a few days away from a civil trial verdict that’ll finish him off financially. Then within weeks he’ll be on criminal trial. Then he’ll be on criminal trial again. His life consists of bankruptcy and prison and little more.
But along the way, Trump seems intent on ensuring that he suffers from insult in addition to injury. Take, for instance, Trump’s decision on Sunday to pick a fight with Taylor Swift of all people just before the Super Bowl kicked off. Trump insanely suggested he’s responsible for Swift’s wealth, and that Swift is being disloyal by endorsing Democrats. Trump also attacked Travis Kelce in incoherently bizarre fashion.
By now you know that the Super Bowl saw great performances from both teams and ended in a thrilling last minute overtime victory by Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs. In other words, hours after Trump tried to pick a fight with Kelce and Swift, Kelce and Swift went on to win the Super Bowl. Because Trump always loses these days. If Trump had attacked 49ers players before the game, the 49ers probably would have won. Trump is that much of an automatic loser.
Taylor Swift’s boyfriend’s team winning the Super Bowl is not among the twenty biggest losses that Trump is going to suffer this week. But given that it clearly meant something to Trump, it’s nice to see that he’s losing on every level – even the sideshow stuff.
