Another one bites the dust

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Even in Donald Trump’s erratic, chaotic, and often maniacal White House, there a few constants. For instance, Trump’s own people keep getting fired amid controversy, quitting amid scandal, and sometimes quitting in protest of him. Now, yet another of Trump’s key people is biting the proverbial dust.

We already saw the resignation of Homeland Security Director Kirstjen Nielsen earlier this year. She’s a racist, bloodthirsty monster who kidnapped immigrant kids from their parents and locked them in cages inside concentration camps – but apparently she wasn’t bloodthirsty enough for Donald Trump’s tastes, so she bailed. She still has no permanent replacement, and now there’s another vacancy.

Donald Trump has now fired the General Counsel for Homeland Security, John Mitnick, according to the New York Times. The whole thing is so weird, the sources can’t even get their stories straight about why he was ousted. Either his own office ousted him, or Stephen Miller ousted him over the objections of his own office. Take your pick. Doesn’t necessarily matter. The only constant here is the chaos, so it’s fitting that we don’t even know why this guy was fired.

Donald Trump is apparently replacing John Mitnick with some guy named Chad Mizelle. There are only two things we know here. If Mitnick lasted this long in the evil criminal Trump administration, then he must be awful. And if Mitnick is being replaced with Mizelle, then Mizelle must be even worse.
