Another disastrous nominee from Donald Trump

Approximately One in six women and one in thirty-three men experience some type of sexual harassment or assault in America. That’s a lot of people. Approximately every other person that Donald John Trump nominates for a cabinet position appears to have had some sexual accusation in the past.

That’s a lot of people. Just what is Trump doing? At this rate, every pervert, every rapist in the good ole USA will have new jobs — working for Donald Trump. It is the ugly ties that bind them all together — sex accusations.

Is it too much to ask that we get nominees who have not been accused of something terrible? Why yes, I suppose that is much too much to ask in a Trump administration. The latest nominee to have been accused of sexual misconduct is Linda McMahon, who Trump has nominated to be secretary of education. Well, if qualifications mean accusations of sexual impropriety, she will do just fine!

The WWE Co-founder was sued for allegedly “allowing years of sexual abuse of young boys.” Bravo, Donald! That’s just the type of person PTA moms everywhere will feel safe with at the helm. Of course, you may have even heard about these accusations. Linda and her dear husband Vince McMahon were BOTH sued. Will Vince be picked to lead the Treasury Department? (Just kidding. Sort of….)

The plaintiffs allege that McMahon “knowingly allowed” the grooming of young boys, compelling them to come work there by saying they’d get to meet wrestlers. Ah yes, such a lovely pick! May my sarcasm be duly noted here. With Matt Gaetz’s withdrawal, we can now look at some of the other ugliness nominated for cabinet positions. And we don’t like what we see.

Since when did accusations of sexual misconduct NOT become a disqualification? The whole stinking lot of them ought to be tossed right out. Of course, Donald Trump is probably congratulating himself for picking such awesome Cabinet members, proving that with Trump, he is the stupidest of them all.

No matter WHO the president is, we, the American people, have the right to have clean nominees. By clean, I mean nominees who have not been accused of depraved things. Is that too much to ask?

Why yes, I suppose it is — for Republicans. If the GOP lets all these filthy slimebags through by voting, yes, they will own this. Like the echoes of distant thunder somewhere far from us, the echoes of competence and honor are also far, far away from Donald Trump and his nasty bag of misfits. At least Gaetz dropped the heck out. Hopefully, as we apply pressure, more will follow.
