Donald Trump is being impeached because he got caught withholding U.S. military aid from Ukraine as a way of trying to force the President of Ukraine to do his personal bidding in the 2020 election. Trump is a creature of habit and career criminal, so the question has been what other nations he might be doing the same thing to.

We’ve already seen proof that Donald Trump has tried to pressure China, Australia, and the UK into helping him promote fake election-related scandals. But while it’s nearly a given that Trump’s ludicrous trade war with China was part of an attempt at applying that pressure, there’s no evidence that he’s withheld military aid to try to pressure any nations beyond Ukraine. Except now this brings us to the story of Lebanon.

The Trump regime has been caught withholding $105 million in U.S. military aid from Lebanon, according to Reuters. That’s a relative pittance for the United States, but it makes all the difference in the world for a small nation like Lebanon. In fact, to give you an idea of how vulnerable Lebanon is, and how much that U.S. military aid might have made a difference, the Lebanese Prime Minister was just forced out of office.

There is, as of yet, no evidence that Donald Trump tried to pressure the (now former) Lebanese Prime Minister into doing his 2020 election bidding, or that Trump used the withholding of military aid to pressure him. But given how closely this appears to mirror Trump’s Ukraine quid pro quo, it has to be looked into. Here’s the kicker: Reuters says that Trump’s withholding of funding to Lebanon is likely to directly benefit Russia. With Trump, all roads lead to Putin.
