Andrew Yang reveals he’s been talking with Joe Biden
As the results came in on Tuesday night and it became clear that Joe Biden is now the de facto 2020 Democratic nominee, former candidate and current CNN analyst Andrew Yang abruptly announced on the air that he was endorsing Biden. Now that Yang has gotten off the air, he’s had a chance to go into additional detail
Andrew Yang posted this tweet tonight about his Joe Biden endorsement:
Since I started running, I always said I would support the Democratic nominee. The math is clear – @joebiden will be the nominee and I am glad to endorse him for President. Joe knows how serious the fourth industrial revolution is. He and I have spoken about it at length. https://t.co/tekzzApBZj

Here’s what stands out. Joe Biden and Andrew Yang have been talking specifics about what Yang thinks is important. It’s not clear how long they’ve been talking, but Yang is a self-professed math guy, so he’s known for a couple weeks now that Biden was going to end up being the nominee.
We have no idea if Yang would rather stay at CNN or work in a Biden administration, but this tweet suggests that Biden would certainly want Yang’s continued input either way. That’s how it should be. Joe Biden appears intent on taking the top talent around him in the Democratic Party and putting it all to good use in an administration.
