Andrew Cuomo comes out swinging
After it became clear that Donald Trump wasn’t going to do anything at the federal level to help hospitals acquire emergency medical supplies, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced on television and on Twitter that the state was going to acquire such equipment by whatever means necessary.
Sure enough, Governor Cuomo has come through:
UPDATE: We are sending 1 million N95 masks to New York City.
500,000 N95 masks will go to Long Island.
We are purchasing 6,000 additional ventilators and gathering supplies from every source we can get.
