Amy Klobuchar tells Joe Biden to pick a woman of color as his running mate

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

For awhile, there were scattered rumblings in the media that Joe Biden might pick Senator Amy Klobuchar as his 2020 running mate. That’s since died down, and Klobuchar’s name hasn’t been mentioned in more recent media reports. But tonight Klobuchar officially took herself out of the running.

Amy Klobuchar appeared on the Lawrence O’Donnell show tonight and announced that she’s called Joe Biden and told him to pick a woman of color as his running mate. This is a huge deal, because it probably means that Biden now has to do it. Of course we suspect that after Klobuchar said this to Biden, he confirmed to her that he is picking a woman of color.

This is a huge, groundbreaking development. Current poll numbers say that Joe Biden is likely going to win the election, and now it appears he’ll be picking a woman of color as his running mate – which means we’re likely going to have a woman of color as Vice President of the United States.
