America comes out swinging against Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

For the past year and a half, mainstream Americans have been actively and fiercely pushing back against the demented traitor who’s been illegally occupying the White House. So it’s saying something that the controversy and chaos got taken to a whole new level yesterday. Suffice it to say that America came out swinging against Trump, in ways we’ve never before seen.

There was the Congressional intern who yelled “Mr. President, F— you!” at Donald Trump yesterday, just before he walked past. There was the political commentator repeatedly yelling “How dare you” at Corey Lewandowski live on-air last night. There was the group of protesters who confronted Trump’s Director of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen at a restaurant last night, forcing her to leave. We can debate whether or not these are the most effective methods of getting our message across, but the point is this: mainstream Americans are mad as hell and they’re not going to take it anymore. So now what?

I keep hearing the same question from my friends overseas: since Donald Trump is clearly guilty of having treasonously conspired to shift the election in his favor, and it’s just a matter of time before he ends up in prison, and most Americans want him gone from office right now, why is he still in power? I’m always left trying to explain why our Constitution provides for such a slow and muddled process for ousting even the most unstable and illegitimate of Presidents. Then I’m left to wonder why we’re not taking to the streets, by the millions, every day, until the laws of politics are bent to our will.

Something has changed this past week. That’s to be expected, considering that Donald Trump has decided that his last stand will consist of locking immigrant kids in cages, and holding them hostage in the hope of somehow gaining leverage as his presidency circles the drain. He forced the issue. He got more than he bargained for. He had to back down today on child cages, but that isn’t going to save him. The American people have had it – and they’re not going to stop until he’s out the door.
