Amazing news for Adam Frisch, terrible news for Lauren Boebert
By now we all know the story: Democratic candidate Adam Frisch came within only about 500 votes of defeating House Republican Lauren Boebert in 2022, even though the district in question leans seven points Republican. Now Frisch is running again in 2024. So how’s that story going?
As it turns out, Adam Frisch has the single highest fundraising numbers of any Democrat running for the House in 2024. In other words the general public is lining up behind Frisch with a huge momentum push. This is good. Frisch is going to need that money. As strong of a candidate as he is, and as scandal-plagued as Boebert is, Frisch still has to overcome the seven point Republican leanings of his district. Also, now that right wing mega donors are aware that Boebert is in trouble, they’ll be more inclined to bail her out. So if you’re in a position to donate to Frisch, keep it coming.
Let’s also keep in mind that the Frisch-Boebert race is one of twenty-four “toss up” races that will be close and will decide the House majority in 2024. It’s still early and some of those races are still getting underway, with the primary process still playing out and many of the candidates yet to be determined.
But when the time comes – and it won’t be too long from now – we’re going to need to put the kind of enthusiasm into all twenty-four toss up races that we’re already putting into the Frisch-Boebert race. It’s not just about ousting Boebert and electing Frisch. It’s about making sure that Frisch enters the House as part of a Democratic majority, so he and his fellow Democrats can get things done.
