Donald Trump’s Fox News town hall is already off to a disastrous start
Donald Trump is holding a Fox News town hall right now from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, because apparently Trump has decided that the only thing he needs to turn around his disastrous recent public appearances is a statue of Lincoln behind him. Right off the bat, Trump is already a disaster.
Trump began taking questions at 7:15pm eastern time. The very first question was from a woman in Alabama who said that she can’t afford to feed her kids right now. She wanted to know when her stimulus check is finally going to show up, and why she can’t get approved for unemployment benefits. Trump responded by talking about having the greatest economy in the world, while completely ignoring her question.
Before this town hall began, Palmer Report predicted that it would only take Donald Trump eight minutes to go completely off the rails and begin incoherently attacking his political adversaries. It ended up taking Trump twelve minutes to start doing this. He began ranting about various governors who haven’t sufficiently kissed up to him, and seemed to lose track of the coronavirus-related question entirely. This is a disaster for him already.
