Donald Trump is the all-time loser

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

One wonders if Donald Trump will ever truly “get it” when it comes to diplomatic negotiations. Take Trump’s relationship with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un for example. Not only has the Trump administration crashed and burned on non-proliferation, Trump himself has managed to pull off the impossible. He has actually come out of this making Kim Jong Un, a man who ordered a hit on his brother, look better than the American president. Such a feat is truly remarkable, but somehow Trump makes it look effortless.

After his last visit with North Korea’s leader in Vietnam, Trump returned to the United States with his tail tucked between his legs, having to walk away mid-summit after Kim made clear he wouldn’t give an inch. Still, Trump’s brain cannot comprehend how this works, because he thinks their relationship is a good one. This comes even as North Korea appears to be gearing up for another missile launch.

Trump fails to grasp the fact that no one on earth cares about his relationship with Kim Jong Un, including Kim himself. This isn’t about the relationship between the two men, rather it’s supposed to be about the relationship between the United States and North Korea. Furthermore, Kim’s comments after the summit in Vietnam were spot on regarding Trump. He sounded sane and down-to-earth, while Trump was left looking like the child who wore out the patience and “will” for Kim to negotiate for peace.

In summary, Kim Jong Un walked away with a slight increase in stature, which is not a good thing at all, while Donald Trump just reinforced his image as a buffoon. I believe Russian media used the word “clown.” Trump is so sweet on Kim, he’d be shocked if North Korea continued on with their nuclear proliferation. Well, Trump better grab a pint of ice cream and his favorite break-up album, because all signs point to “go” when it comes to North Korea’s nuclear agenda.
