All hands on deck

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

On Friday night, a county judge in Arizona ruled that an archaic state law from 1864 is immediately in effect, meaning a near-total ban on abortion in the state. This will surely move through the state court’s appeals process, but it’s a confusing mess with an uncertain outcome. Meanwhile, Arizona’s psychotic Republican Attorney General Mark Brnovich is praising the deranged ruling.

This makes it more important than ever that we make a nationwide effort to elect Democrats to statewide office in Arizona in November. Brnovich must be replaced. Democratic candidate Kris Mayes is running against him; you can donate and support her campaign here.

For good measure you can support Arizona’s Democratic candidate for Governor, Katie Hobbs, here. And while we’re at it, you can support Arizona’s Democratic Senator Mark Kelly, who is up for reelection in a tight race, here.
