Donald Trump has surreal all-caps meltdown, gives away something important

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Today we finally got a look at Donald Trump’s anti-Twitter executive order, which he and his people promised would somehow force Twitter to bend to his will, or perhaps even shut Twitter down entirely. Instead the whole thing turned out to be largely toothless, and oddly worshipful of Vladimir Putin. Now Trump is making it worse.

Now that his executive order is largely just being scoffed at, Trump is melting down in all caps: “MAIL-IN VOTING WILL LEAD TO MASSIVE FRAUD AND ABUSE. IT WILL ALSO LEAD TO THE END OF OUR GREAT REPUBLICAN PARTY. WE CAN NEVER LET THIS TRAGEDY BEFALL OUR NATION.”

What’s surreal here is that Donald Trump just admitted – in exact words – that if the nation is allowed to vote by mail, the Republican Party will go away. He’s basically admitting that the Republicans can’t get a majority of the vote, and can’t win without cheating.

Also, because Trump’s latest tweet once again contains false information about voting by mail, hopefully Twitter will hit him with yet another fact check warning.
