Robert Mueller has detained yet another Trump-Russia figure at the airport
It’s been a little while since Special Counsel Robert Mueller has indicted or arrested any of Donald Trump’s people in relation to the Trump-Russia scandal. This has led some folks who haven’t been paying close attention to ask just what he’s been up to lately. The answer is that Mueller has been doing quite a bit behind the scenes to line up his forthcoming most important moves to date – and he’s been quite aggressive about it.
It turns out Mueller is quite a fan of detaining Trump-Russia witnesses and/or suspects when they arrive at airports. This is a reliable way of knowing where someone is going to be based on flight records, and catching them off guard while they’re still fumbling for their luggage. We’re now learning that after Mueller detained international political operative George Nader at an airport in January, he then detained Nader’s unnamed Australian associate at an airport in order to question him about Nader.
This comes after Robert Mueller detained Ted Malloch at an airport in Boston last week. Malloch has ties to Donald Trump, Roger Stone, Brexit, Nigel Farage, and perhaps Julian Assange, making clear how important Malloch’s role in in all of this. Of course this is not new behavior on Mueller’s part.
Last summer, Robert Mueller arrested former Donald Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos when he arrived at an airport. Papadopoulos then immediately cut a plea deal, but Mueller kept the arrest and plea deal a secret for the next four months, before strategically revealing it while arresting Paul Manafort and Rick Gates. In other words, we have no idea how many more people Mueller has detained at airports in relation to the Trump-Russia scandal, or secretly arrested. All we know for sure is that we’re periodically reminded that he’s much further along than is publicly known.
