Ahead of his hearing tomorrow, Joel Greenberg has already sunk Matt Gaetz and others

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Heading into Joel Greenberg’s plea agreement hearing tomorrow, there’s already a lot that we know. But there is even more that we don’t know. The thing is, though, that doesn’t matter in terms of the outcome – because Greenberg has already sunk Matt Gaetz and whoever else he’s taking down.

The legal system works a certain way. For instance, before Joel Greenberg was given this deal, he had to sit down and do a proffer session, where he gave prosecutors all the testimony and evidence he had against everyone he knows. It’s not as if Greenberg’s cooperation will start tomorrow when the judge signs off on the deal. His cooperation has already happened. They’ve already got everything from him. They’ll circle back if and when they need him.

Legal experts say it’s unlikely that the names of the people Greenberg has formally flipped on will be revealed in court tomorrow; we won’t find out their identities until those people are indicted, or until the media digs it up, whichever comes first. But in the meantime, prosecutors know who’s involved. They listened to Greenberg give up those names and the evidence against them, and decided that it made for sufficiently surefire criminal cases, they were willing to give a monster like Greenberg a deal.

We know that Greenberg has accused multiple men of having sex with an underage girl in his presence. We don’t know how precisely how many men there are. We don’t even know for sure if Matt Gaetz is one of them. But based on Greenberg’s lawyer’s remarks in a prior court hearing, we do know that Greenberg gave up Gaetz on something. Gaetz is reportedly being investigated for a number of felonies, and any one of them would put in him in prison.

So we know Matt Gaetz is going down. That’s already in motion. Good luck at trial. We also know that he’s not the only one going down. Based on Joel Greenberg’s social circles and what’s been reported about his criminal antics, the other people he’s taking down are likely tied directly or indirectly to Florida Republican politics. The could be big names. They could be local nobodies. But whoever they are, Greenberg has already sunk them. Tomorrow’s hearing is really more about whether the judge approves the leniency that’s been given, or forces different terms of the deal. But either way, the proffer is already over. Whoever is going down is going down. It’s in motion already.
