Adam Kinzinger slam dunks Kevin McCarthy

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is the definition of a deer in the headlights. He’s too afraid of his own shadow to take definitive (or really any) action against the House Republicans who are causing the most controversy and embarrassment for his party.

In contrast House Republican Adam Kinzinger has no trouble speaking his mind. And now that he’s decided to retire at the end of his term, he’s not even pretending to be cordial to his party’s leader in the House.

Kinzinger tweeted this after House Republican Paul Gosar posted a video depicting himself murdering President Biden and AOC: “A party with leaders like Kevin McCarthy, that cannot stand up to the insanity from people like Greene, Gaetz, Gosar, etc, is going to have a hard time standing up to countries like China.”

We’re not sure what Kinzinger is going to do next after he retires. We sure wish Kevin McCarthy were retiring instead. Actually, come to think of it, because McCarthy is unwilling to take out his party’s trash, it gives us an opportunity to tie the likes of Gosar, Gaetz, and Greene to House Republicans in moderate districts in the midterm elections. If we’re stuck with McCarthy, let’s use his weakness to our advantage.
