“51% of Americans” my ass
New Hampshire’s Republican Governor Chris Sununu tried to position himself as a principled anti-Trump moderate. But like all Republican politicians these days, Sununu is now outing himself as a treasonous extremist.
Sununu came out in support of Donald Trump today, because that’s what Republican politicians do. Of course Sununu didn’t want to admit that he’s doing so because he’s a flip flopping opportunist. So instead he’s claiming that he’s pivoting to Trump because “51% of Americans” support Trump. Huh?
Nice try, jackass. At no point in history has Trump had majority support in this country. He “won” in 2016 while losing by three million votes. His approval rating never came close to 50%. Then he lost in 2020 by seven million votes. And he doesn’t have anything close to 51% in current polling.
In fact multiple new polls this past week have President Biden ahead of Trump. And this is before Trump goes on criminal trial tomorrow, which is crucial because polling says that Trump will lose a significant number of votes once he’s convicted on felony charges.
