36 hours for all the marbles

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $3760 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer

If you’re thinking that Election Day in 2024 isn’t until November, you’re overlooking one of the biggest dates in all of politics. The first Election Day in 2024 is actually tomorrow, in the special election to replace George Santos. When the new year began I said this special election would come up on us quickly, and now it has. But it’s not too late to make a difference.

For better or worse, everything is pointing to this race being close. Polling, for whatever it’s worth, points to a close result. Early voting data, for whatever that’s worth, also appears to point to a close result. This means that you can absolutely still make a difference in the outcome.

You can go to Democratic candidate Tom Suozzi’s website right now and make a last minute $5 donation, or more crucially, sign up for a last minute phone banking or volunteer shift. Let’s spend today and tomorrow bringing this one home. Remember, with the House Republican majority continuing to shrink, this special election could ultimately end up deciding the House majority. We have 36 hours left for all the marbles. Let’s go win this.
