In the lead up to the midterm elections this November, there is a vast difference between talking points for Republicans and Democrats. The main platform that the GOP seems to be running on is the immediate impeachment of Hillary Clinton. Someone should probably let them know she’s not currently residing in the White House, but let’s wait until after the midterms to burst their bubble. The other common policy being pushed by Republican campaigns is the GOP tax bill which was passed into law late last year. Again, please hold off informing them of how low the bill, which sends $1.5 trillion directly to the wealthiest Americans and corporations at the expense of working families and future generations, is currently polling.

During his recent unhinged rallies, Donald Trump has been quite vocal about his fear of impeachment when the Democrats take the majority in the House of Representatives. As Palmer Report has documented, all evidence is pointing to a blue wave this year. While one must never become complacent and assume anything, Trump has many reasons to be afraid. Plans to campaign on the tax bill might not be in the best interest of the GOP, as Trump loyalists have recently admitted their true feelings on this disastrous bill.

Florida Senator Marco Rubio is now openly admitting that the massive wealth transfer from the working class to the elites will not actually help the middle class. Even though he voted for the bill, Rubio admitted “there’s no evidence whatsoever that money’s been massively poured back into the American worker.”

Trump’s former Health and Human Services Secretary, Tom Price, recently confessed that the tax bill, which eliminated the individual mandate in the Affordable Care Act, was a bad idea which will lead to health care costs increasing dramatically for those in the individual insurance marketplace. While the Democrats will need to emphasize their talking points to ensure voters have a reason to come out to vote, it seems that Trump and the Republicans are also doing that, but with the exact opposite reaction they hoped for.
