Donald Trump served up so many embarrassing, self-incriminating, and outright bizarre remarks during his appearance on Fox & Friends yesterday, the temptation has been to focus on what all he said. Now that the dust has settled a bit, it’s time to step back and look at why this happened. The interview was demented even by Trump’s standards. There are only two possible explanations.

The first is that Trump suffered some sort of manic episode or psychotic break as a result of figuring out that Michael Cohen is probably going to end up flipping on him. We’re now reaching the stage where people really close to Trump are being pressured to cut plea deals against him, which means that he’s losing his closest confidants, and that he’s in serious trouble. Questions about Trump’s mental health have long abounded, to the point that he was pressured into taking a physical in January, with results that were laughably falsified. That brings us to the second possibility here.

That physical was performed by Dr. Ronny Jackson, who falsified things so thoroughly that he even lied about Trump’s height and weight. Trump returned the favor by nominating Jackson to run the VA. This week that nomination fell apart when accusations surfaced that Jackson was, among other disturbing things, handing out drugs like Provigil to White House people like candy. This allegation has not been proven, but Jackson has withdrawn his nomination in response. This raises the question of whether Jackson has been giving Provigil to Trump, which in inappropriate doses would make him act manically.

During the course of the election, Donald Trump displayed numerous symptoms of cocaine abuse, including his famously nonstop sniffing during the general election debates. Trump’s sniffing returned again this week during his joint press conference. Now he’s had a manic meltdown on live national television. So did he suffer a psychotic break, or is he somehow getting his hands on cocaine while in the White House, or is he abusing prescription drugs?
