Man sets himself on fire outside of Donald Trump’s hotel in Washington DC

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $785 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer

An unidentified individual, possibly a protester, has tried to set himself on fire outside of Donald Trump’s hotel in Washington DC tonight. Law enforcement have surrounded the scene, and one local TV news affiliate is intermittently broadcasting live footage of the unfolding incident.

There are conflicting reports as to whether the man was attempting to start a fire in the street, or trying set the hotel on fire, or trying to set himself on fire. But the end result is that he did end up setting himself on fire, whether on purpose or unintentionally, and has been taken the hospital.

ABC affiliate WJLA believes the man was trying to start a fire, while another affiliate ABC15 believes the man was trying to “set himself on fire” and has been streaming live video of the crime scene aftermath.
