The real reason Donald Trump is melting down about Amazon and Jeff Bezos

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Everyone says “follow the money” so that’s what I did. I asked how many billionaires are there on earth. In March of 2018, Forbes estimated the answer to be 2,208 with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos listed as the richest person in the world with a net worth of $112 billion. This helps explain “President” Donald Trump’s sudden attacks against Amazon. Jeff Bezos was recently named the richest man in the world and Trump personally blames him for his own diminishing fortune.

A real President of the United States would have congratulated the American businessman for bringing home the “big trophy” as the richest man on earth. But, we don’t have one of those right now. Instead we have Donald J. Trump, who wants to smash Jeff’s trophy because Trump Inc. wasn’t able to keep up with the changing economic landscape and lost money while Jeff and Amazon were making more money than anyone on earth.

Next, I wanted to know how many billionaires are in Russia. Forbes recently reported that number to be 96. After that, I wanted to know how they made their fortunes. What I found was that the overwhelming majority of billionaires in Russia have made their fortunes through Oil, Gas, Steel and Coal.

Now it’s easier to understand why Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin want to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement. Look at who it will hurt and who it will help. Hint: It’s a painful outlook for the United States but, it would go a long way to help 96 Russian Billionaires and two Russian dictators who are poised to take over the exact markets that Trump wants to “fix” at the expense of “nearly every single American” and in Putin’s eyes, help make Russia great again.
