The real reason Rudy Giuliani’s longtime wife is suddenly divorcing him

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Rudy Giuliani’s wife of fifteen years, Judith Giuliani, has filed for divorce. The timing is raising all kinds of questions about what’s really going on here, considering that the Trump-Russia scandal has just moved into the phase where participants are being sentenced to prison, and at least one other prominent figure in the scandal is also suddenly facing a curiously timed divorce. So let’s talk about what’s really going on here with Rudy.

As we pointed out when Vanessa Trump filed for divorce from Donald Trump Jr a few weeks ago, divorces happen all the time, and they don’t necessarily relate to the political scandals that are swirling around the people involved. In fact we said that we were going to wait to see if Trump Jr’s divorce became part of a larger pattern of Trump-Russia divorces. Sure enough, we soon learned that Donald Trump’s White House senior adviser Dan Scavino is also getting divorced. Now Rudy Giuliani, who played one of the strangest roles in the Trump-Russia scandal, is getting divorced as well. So what if this isn’t coincidence?

Vanessa Trump filed for divorce just as Special Counsel Robert Mueller was subpoenaing the financial records of the Trump Organization. This led to questionss about whether perhaps Vanessa was looking to secure her share of the family fortune before the Feds could seize Donald Trump Jr’s assets. It was revealed that Trump Jr had an affair seven years ago, but it also came out that Vanessa had known about the affair for six years, so the affair did not explain the timing of the divorce.

The question now is whether Judith Giuliani might be trying to secure her share of the family’s assets before Rudy Giuliani can be sent to prison. Strangely, Rudy is providing a quote to the media about how they’re simply going to amicably split their assets “50/50” which is a weird thing to be focusing on in your public remarks when trying to explain why you’re getting divorced.

Rudy Giuliani’s former associate Reza Zarrab has been a cooperating witness for Special Counsel Robert Mueller for months, and Giuliani has since sounded spooked. However, there has been no known recent movement against Giuliani. The only potentially relevant development this week is that attorney Alex Van Der Zwaan was the first Trump-Russia figure formally sentenced to prison this week, meaning we’re heading into a new phase in which everyone in the scandal gets sent to prison for roles big or small. So maybe Judith concluded that Rudy is going to prison and his assets will be seized. Or maybe the marriage just failed. Keep an eye on what Rudy does next.
