Russia and North Korea are up to something, and it involves Donald Trump
New sanctions were imposed on North Korea beginning March 5th due to the murder of Kim Jong Nam, the estranged brother of Kim Jong Un. This has come about in the course of meetings held between North and South Korea and the surprising change of heart concerning the country’s nuclear arsenal. Kim suddenly wants to negotiate? I don’t think so. It feels like a set up and it is possible that Vladimir Putin is behind it all.
It’s no secret how Donald Trump feels about China. He spent a large amount of his campaign criticizing China and has tweeted over 200 times condemning the country (link). On March 1st, Trump announced tariffs on aluminum and steel which was a threat directed to China. Trump hasn’t gained much, if any, support from foreign leaders concerning the tariffs, which adds to the long list of ways he is alienating the U.S. from our allies.
As we become more and more alienated from the world, a coalition is forming. China has already defied UN sanctions by providing oil to North Korea as reported in December (link). Now we are learning that North Korea has been supplying Syria with materials used for the manufacturing of chemical weapons which have recently been utilized on what’s left of the Syrian population. Some of these shipments were even allegedly sent through a Chinese trading firm (link). And who is the biggest supporter of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad? I’m glad you asked, because it’s everyone’s favorite villain, Vladimir Putin.
If Putin truly has incriminating information on Donald Trump then no amount of UN or U.S. sanctions will ever be taken seriously or followed by any country. Furthermore, if a coalition is formed with these countries and they decide to attack the U.S.. we will have very few allies willing to help. We should all be watching the developments with North Korea very closely because something is just not right.
