Donald Trump falls down

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

While true leaders have been known to show great strength during their weakest times, we know that Donald Trump is incapable of hiding his fear or anger. Through the massive leaks and stories it’s evident how he’s willing to make snap judgments and decisions in an attempt to distract from the truth. Yet the truth is not going away: Special Counsel Robert Mueller has his bullseye directed at Trump.

The recent threats of a trade war, which will mostly be directed at American allies and ensure American citizens pay higher costs, was a direct result of Trump’s anxiety resulting from his son-in-law, and senior advisor, Jared Kushner losing his top secret security clearance. It’s even been reported that Trump now considers Kushner a “liability.” With such great attention currently being directed towards Kushner’s misdeeds, including Mueller looking into illegal deals with foreign leaders to secure loans to save his highly indebted business, Trump is looking to throw anyone under the bus, even family.

Another aspect of leadership in which Trump fails is standing up and defending those relying on him. Instead of pushing for increased scrutiny and advanced protection from further Russian attacks on our elections and democracy, Trump has proven he puts his allegiance to Vladamir Putin over that of America. US Cyber Command chief Adm. Mike Rogers told lawmakers that he was never granted authority by Trump to disrupt Russian election hacking operations where they originate.

The fact Trump has yet to even call out Putin for anything speaks volumes. While attacking most in Congress for any slight he feels, Trump will never go against Putin, who put him in his current position. This is clearly a man with intentions that do not include protecting America or our democracy. A true leader would stand up to those that constantly direct attacks towards those the leader had sworn to protect. Unfortunately for America, Donald Trump is no leader.
