Robert Mueller, Donald Trump, Indictment A, and Person A

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

We already have a mysterious “Indictment (A)” in Donald Trump’s Russia scandal, and now we have an unidentified “Person A” as well. As Robert Mueller’s Trump-Russia investigation gets more aggressive, it also gets more intriguing. So who is this “A” team and what roles do they play in the probe? What trouble are they in? Do the two people in question even know it’s them? There are a number of clues. Hint: one of them may be Trump himself.

Let’s start with what we know: Person A and the target of Indictment A are both royally screwed, and they’re almost certainly not the same person. Interestingly, they are both connected to former Trump officials Rick Gates and, by extension, Paul Manafort. The indictment against them last year was labeled “Indictment (B)” which means there was also an Indictment (A). It still has yet to come to light, which means it’s still under seal. The nomenclature means that it’s someone connected to Manafort and Gates who’s a bigger fish than either of them. That means, incredibly, that it’s probsbly a sealed indictment against Donald Trump.

Person A is a different story. This is an individual who allegedly conspired with the Trump-Russia attorney who pleaded guilty today. There’s no easy way to narrow this down, beyond the fact that the attorney is connected to Gates and Manafort.

Various pundits have floated guesses today that “Person A” could be anyone from the attorney’s father-in-law who runs a Russian bank, to the attorney’s coworker, who happens to be Manafort’s daughter. But these are merely guesses; we don’t have knowledge of any specific legal action against any of them. But who ever Person A and the target of Indictment (A) are, this “A-Team” looks to be the Z-Team when it comes to how much trouble they’re in.
