Lindsey Graham and Chuck Grassley are at it again

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Republican Senators Lindsey Graham and Chuck Grassley have spent a long time establishing themselves as comparative straight shooters, as far as Republicans go. They’ve both stood up to Donald Trump to varying degrees. They both pushed hard for the Trump-Russia scandal to be fully investigated. Then, as if a switch went off, they both began acting like cartoonish Kremlin agents. Now they’re both at it again.

Back in December, Graham and Grassley pushed for phony criminal charges to be brought against former MI6 agent Christopher Steele, the author of the Trump-Russia dossier. This was nothing short of stunning. These are the kinds of antics we thought we’d only ever see in a third world dictatorship. Since when do U.S. Senators try to have their political opponents imprisoned on false charges? And why did these two Senators in particular decide to risk their own futures by carrying out such a dastardly criminal agenda? Were they being blackmailed?

Now Graham and Grassley are targeting President Obama’s National Security Adviser Susan Rice (link). Not only have these two Senators gone rogue in stunningly treasonous fashion, they’re targeting the specific people (Steele, Rice) who have been named in the most deranged phony conspiracy theories aimed at getting Trump off the hook in his Russia scandal. What next? Will Graham and Grassley seek phony criminal charges against Susan Rice as well?

One can only hope, and assume, that Special Counsel Robert Mueller is looking into why Lindsey Graham and Chuck Grassley are now in the midst of a full blown crime spree aimed at muddying the waters in the Trump-Russia scandal. We suggest Mueller start by looking at why Grassley was sitting with a Russian member of Parliament at the 2017 National Prayer Breakfast, and who hacked Graham’s emails while he was running for president in 2016. This entire thing reeks of blackmail.
