Donald Trump’s misadventures on Twitter have consisted of everything from angry demented rants, to accidental confessions of felonies, to unintentionally amusing displays of semi-illiteracy. On Friday, while Trump was facing mounting trouble for his obstruction of justice crime spree and attempting to fend off scandals that could cost him his presidency and his freedom, he somehow found time to make a bizarre gaffe on Twitter.

Trump’s close friend Steve Wynn, of Las Vegas hotel and casino fame, was accused of sexual harassment on Friday by a number of female employees. The timing is particularly bad for Trump, as he’s trying to fend off a porn star blackmail scandal, after having been accused of sexual assault by roughly twenty women. So how did Trump respond to the news about Wynn? Like this:

That’s right, Trump “liked” a Wall Street Journal article which exposed his friend Wynn’s sexual misconduct. This was surely some kind of unintentional error. But why would Trump even be looking at a tweet like this to begin with? As his friends get taken down for sexual misconduct, is he worried that he might be next? Was he so rattled by the prospect that he ended up accidentally clicking the “like” button?

Donald Trump (or one of his handlers) has since “unliked” the tweet in question. The comparatively swift response is somewhat surprising, considering Trump’s past accidental likes. For instance, back in September of 2017 he liked a tweet which asserted that “he’s just not Presidential material” and to this day he still hasn’t bothered to unlike it.
