Donald Trump called Michael Wolff about the Pee Pee Tape

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $3360 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer

Donald Trump has spent weeks publicly insisting that every word of Michael Wolff’s insider book “Fire and Fury” is a lie, and that Wolff didn’t even have the White House insider access he claimed. Now Wolff is telling a different story, revealing that at one point during the process, Trump even went so far as to call up Wolff on the phone. The subject: of all things, the Pee Pee Tape.

Nothing much came of that phone call, as revealed in a new interview Wolff has granted (link). But the mere existence of the phone call gives away a lot. Sure, it shatters Trump’s premise about Wolff being an outsider with no real inside access. But more importantly, it reminds us that in Trump’s mind, this is all about the Pee Pee Tape, because he’s done this before.

Former FBI Director James Comey revealed last year that at one point Trump called him up on the phone just to announce to him that the Pee Pee Tape didn’t exist, and that he hadn’t done anything with Russian “hookers” (link). This was at a time when Comey and the FBI were digging into Trump’s treasonous political plotting with Russia during the election, and yet Trump was far more worried that Comey might think he did something lewd with prostitutes.

So what does this tell us? Donald Trump cares more about being sexually embarrassed than he does about the criminal investigations that are threatening to take away his presidency and his freedom. It’s a reminder of just how much of a narcissist he is, and a reminder that he may be incapable of fully understanding the legal jeopardy he’s in. It may also explain why Trump paid six figures to cover up his affair with an adult film actress, while apparently not trying to pay to keep his various other affairs quiet that weren’t with porn stars.
