Mexico’s former President Vicente Fox just keeps trolling “Señor Trump” on Twitter

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox, who still wields significant political power in Mexico, has emerged as a leading international nemesis to Donald Trump. Fox has led the pushback against Trump’s baseless insistence that he was going to build a wall on the border and somehow get Mexico to pay for it. And now that Trump is historically unpopular and the Russian hacking scandals is exploding around him, Fox is moving in on Trump in increasingly devastating fashion.

Vicente Fox began sharpening his spikes on Thursday after Donald Trump admitted he was going to ask Congress to pay for the wall with U.S. taxpayer money (which he then denied). Fox taunted Trump by tweeting that “Trump may ask whoever he wants, but still neither myself nor Mexico are going to pay for his racist monument. Another promise he can’t keep.” He then followed it up with “TRUMP, when will you understand that I am not paying for that fucken wall. Be clear with US tax payers. They will pay for it.” But then came the real burn on “Señor Trump.”

Fox managed to hit on every one of Donald Trump’s weak spots in a single tweet: “Sr Trump, the intelligence report is devastating. Losing election by more than 3M votes and in addition this. Are you a legitimate president?” Thus far Trump has yet to even try to respond to Fox’s expert trolling.
