Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are in a whole new kind of trouble

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

During the election, Wendi Deng Murdoch – the ex wife of Fox News boss Rupert Murdoch who has been alleged to be the mistress of Russian President Vladimir Putin – was spotted vacationing with Ivanka Trump. In fact this took place just as Donald Trump’s campaign chairman was being exposed as a paid Kremlin agent. The story of Ivanka and Wendi has since faded from public view, but now it’s back, and it’s just become a huge scandal for both Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner.

In early 2017, U.S. counterintelligence officials warned Kushner that Wendi Deng Murdoch was now acting as an agent of the Chinese government, and that she was attempting to leverage her personal relationship with Kushner and Ivanka in order to deliver China what it wanted from them, according to a new Wall Street Journal report (link). This new revelation, combined with the previous reporting on her, paints Wendi Deng Murdoch as some sort of mercenary for hire who’s willing to do the bidding of whichever government she’s attached to at any given time.

It also raises weighty new questions about the nature of the personal relationship between Ivanka Trump and Wendi Deng Murdoch during the election. The reputationally questionable Daily Mail was the driving force behind the claim that Wendi was Putin’s mistress (link), which may help explain why Ivanka’s curiously timed vacation with Wendi didn’t receive more scrutiny at the time. But the reality, for reasons still largely known only to them, is that most mainstream media outlets were hesitant to seriously report on the Trump-Russia scandal during the election.

This latest revelation means that Jared Kushner, whose family business is already facing legal trouble for using the promise of visas while conducting business in China, now faces even more scrutiny on the China front. It also gives significant new credibility to the theory that Ivanka Trump and Wendi Deng Murdoch may have been point people for their respective sides in the Trump-Russia election rigging scandal.
