Donald Trump throws tantrum for the ages as everything unravels

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

It’s fair to say Donald Trump had a pretty bad day yesterday. Senate Judiciary Committee ranking member Dianne Feinstein released the congressional testimony transcripts regarding the Trump-Russia dossier, thus taking a torch to Trump’s various Russia scandal denials. Then he nearly gave Feinstein what she wanted on DACA on live national television, before Republicans jumped in and reminded him how stupid he was being. Then the courts struck down his prior moves against DACA anyway. It set the stage for Trump to throw a tantrum, and he did, giving some things away in the process.

First Trump tweeted this beauty: “The fact that Sneaky Dianne Feinstein, who has on numerous occasions stated that collusion between Trump/Russia has not been found, would release testimony in such an underhanded and possibly illegal way, totally without authorization, is a disgrace. Must have tough Primary!” Not only is Trump getting lamer than ever with his nicknames, he’s also reduced to begging the purists of the left to help him by taking out Feinstein in a primary battle so the Republican candidate can eventually win. He’s that desperate. But it got even worse.

Then Trump tweeted this tantrum: “The single greatest Witch Hunt in American history continues. There was no collusion, everybody including the Dems knows there was no collusion, & yet on and on it goes. Russia & the world is laughing at the stupidity they are witnessing. Republicans should finally take control!” It wasn’t lost on anyone that he singled out Russia as the one nation that we should be worried about laughing at us.

Moreover, Donald Trump is begging the Republicans in Congress to save him from his treasonous crimes. What does he specifically mean by “take control”? Even he probably doesn’t know. But it’s a reminder that, for all their bluster, the Republicans aren’t truly trying to save Trump from his crimes; they’re just trying to prop him up awhile longer so they can pass a few more scam bills. Deep down, even he seems to know it.
