GOP adviser says we’re watching Donald Trump “cognitively decompose”

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Donald Trump began Tuesday by demanding that a number of innocent Americans be thrown in prison simply because he doesn’t like them, and he ended Tuesday by threatening to start a nuclear war while bragging about the size of his dick. Somewhere in there he demanded credit for the fact that planes haven’t crashed lately, and vowed to launch a new game show about how much he hates the media. As Americans wonder how to get this sick and twisted lunatic out of the White House, one longtime Republican adviser is calling it like it is.

Peter Wehner served in the Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush administrations, meaning he’s worked for every Republican President in the past forty years – with the notable exception of Donald Trump. Wehner doesn’t exactly appear to be a fan of Trump, if his latest tweet is any indication. After Trump’s day-long meltdown on Tuesday, Wehner laid into him.

Wehner tweeted “Mr. Trump’s recent twitter storm/interviews are more evidence we’re watching an American president psychologically, emotionally and cognitively decompose. It’s rather alarming to watch, and the president is not well.” He then sarcastically added, “But at least he’s cutting regulations.” In other words, he’s admitting what most Americans are saying rather loudly on social media, but most in the media have been afraid to say at all: Trump is both mentally ill and senile.

At this point Donald Trump is rarely able to complete a coherent sentence during his increasingly rare public appearances. He’s gotten confused and blankly wandered out of his own joint press conferences and signing ceremonies while they were still going on. He slurs his words. He wanders away from his own motorcade. His latest tweets are just a reminder that he’s a severely mentally ill person who is also suffering from severe and worsening cognitive loss. This is, of course, in addition to being a career criminal, a racist, and a rapist who committed treason by conspiring with Russia to rig the election in his favor.
