Senile Donald Trump is surprised to learn about a major personnel move he made two days ago

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Two days ago, Donald Trump and his goons made one of the most controversial moves of his illegitimate presidency. They reassigned James Baker, the FBI’s top lawyer, to a lesser job. Baker is a key witness in the ongoing obstruction of justice case against Trump, and so they tried to make an example out him. Now, stunningly, Trump revealed today that he’s either become so senile that he doesn’t recall having signed off on the move, or he’s become such a vegetable that his people never even told him about it.

Here’s what Trump tweeted on Saturday afternoon: “Wow, ‘FBI lawyer James Baker reassigned,’ according to Fox News.” Wait, what? Trump just finished committing a felony, in the name of trying to derail the investigation into another felony he committed. Now he’s telling us that not only does he not remember doing it, even hearing about it on television didn’t cause him to remember that he did it. This is not the kind of thing that anyone could ever forget having done just two days later, unless they’re suffering from a clinical level of senility. But what if it’s the other scenario?

If Trump really is hearing about this for the first time today, it means his handlers committed felony obstruction to try to protect him without bothering to run it past him first. This isn’t the kind of move that you avoid telling your boss about for the sake of giving him deniability, because you’d want your boss to sign off on a move like this in order to give yourself protection. If Trump’s people really did make this move without telling him, it means he’s so far gone mentally, they didn’t think he’d be able to understand what they were talking about anyway.

Some are suggesting a third possible scenario, in which Donald Trump’s attorneys wrote and posted today’s tweet, in an attempt at making it appear Trump wasn’t involved in the decision making. However, based on their track record, Trump’s lawyers and handlers aren’t clever enough for that. The last time Trump’s attorney (supposedly) wrote a tweet for him, that tweet was actually an unwitting confession to felony.
