“Speaker” Mike Johnson humiliates himself on live national television

We've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.

Mike Johnson is still Speaker of the House for some reason, even though his skillset and personality are more compatible with being unemployable. Johnson’s job at this point is apparently to go out and take pies to the face so that Donald Trump won’t have to. Johnson is playing into that role with all the gusto of someone who has nothing else left to cling to.

House Republicans have had to stop holding town halls with their constituents, because even in red leaning districts, Americans are outraged at how Elon Musk is trying to destroy federal government social programs. While appearing on live national television today, Mike Johnson made the laugh out loud claim that these protesters are merely paid props:

No really, Mike Johnson went on TV and said this. Even after the CNN host pointed out that one of Johnson’s own Republican colleagues had confirmed that these were real constituents, Johnson still doubled down on it. Cable news hosts don’t seem to want to fact check anyone these days, so it’s really humiliating for Johnson that he said something so laughable, even CNN was willing to correct him.

It's been a tough week, a tough month, a tough year. For all of us. But the fight goes on. Because we know how important this is. Because we care. Because we're the ones who fight. It's you and me. It has been for a decade. And I'm never backing down. But Palmer Report does have operating expenses. And in this uncertain time, I truly need your help. For that reason I've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.
