Donald Trump surfaced in public this past week to give one of his most senile speeches to date. He also surfaced, sort of, for a virtual appearance at his criminal trial sentencing hearing. But beyond that, and a one-off deranged rant about the fact that he’s still a convicted felon, Trump has been… nowhere.

Given that Los Angeles is still in flames, you’d think Trump’s babysitters would shove him out there to say something about it. After all, Trump and his side have always loved spreading idiotic lies about California fires. Remember back when Trump got up and announced that we should all try raking the fire?

Yet Donald Trump is, of course, nowhere to be found. He’s that far gone from functioning, and that far removed from reality. His people can’t even seem to shove him out there to spew nonsense about the fires. Which is for the best, because the last thing anyone being affected by these fires needs is for Trump to open his mouth.
