Donald Trump has berserk meltdown about how he’s still a convicted felon

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $2097 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,

Federal Judge Juan Merchan pretty much handed Donald Trump the 2024 election by postponing sentencing in his New York criminal trial until after the election day. If Merchan had issued Trump a prison sentence when sentencing was supposed to happen, there’s virtually no chance Trump would have won the election with a such a sentence hanging over his head.

Even as we still wait to find out why Merchan handed Trump the election, Merchan did one small thing right this week by refusing to vacate Trump’s conviction. This ensures that Trump will remain a convicted felon even while in office. It’s a purely symbolic victory for us, but at this point we’ll take it.

Of course Trump is still a miserable whiner even when he wins, and so he’s having a berserk meltdown today about how much he hates Merchan. Trump is calling the ruling “completely illegal” and “psychotic” among other things.

Trump is also ranting about Merchan’s “family’s disqualifying and illegal conflicts” – which makes us wonder what this is all really about. Did Merchan delay sentencing because he was intimidated by the implied threats that Trump kept making against Merchan’s family? In any case, the silver lining here is that Donald Trump is still as broken and miserable as ever.
