Susan Collins is concerned

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Her mouth formed a little round petal of an “oh”, her forehead fell back into its familiar position of deep and artificial concern. She stopped to talk to reporters, carefully, I am sure, choosing her words, choosing them with deliberate concern.

Yes, Pete Hegseth and I had a conversation Susan Collins said, carefully curated concern oozing from her insincere voice. I asked him about the accusations against him. I do not know what I will do yet, she announced.

This is a familiar scenario. Looking concerned and speaking concernedly to the press, conscious that she is up for reelection soon, Susan Collins chose each word carefully and with concern as she pretended to mull over the problems of voting yes on Pete Hegseth.

For Susan Collins, it is indeed groundhog day. If you will remember, the concerned senator voted without concern for Brett Kavanaugh, breaking her promise not to vote for anyone who might overturn Roe.

He won’t, she piously insisted, so very concerned, a scowl darkening her face. Susie Q does NOT like it when her integrity is challenged. Too damn bad.

Collins must be defeated in the midterms. We almost did it last time. The problem was that we had not one but two candidates, and they split the vote. We cannot make that mistake again.

If there were ever an insincere senator, it would be Collins. With concern seemingly gushing from her, she pulls this crap every single time. She’s honestly one big fraud.

We can wipe her from the Senate in 2026. All it will require is some strategic skill, the kind of skill chess players use. We will need to put up a quality candidate who can show why Collins is not fit for office.

In Maine, they have an expression if you’re not from there, you’re from away.” Susan Collins is from “away” when it comes to being loyal to her constituents. She lies to them repeatedly, and it is time to do something about it.
